spherical.weight {orthopolynom} | R Documentation |
Weight function for the spherical polynomial
Description
This function returns the value of the weight function for the order k
spherical polynomial, P_k \left( x \right)
.
Usage
spherical.weight(x)
Arguments
x |
the function argument which can be a vector or matrix |
Details
The function takes on non-zero values in the interval \left( -1,1 \right)
. The formula used
to compute the weight function is as follows.
w\left( x \right) = 1
Value
The value of the weight function
